David Ashby
I create and produce engaging video content for brands, broadcasters and digital audiences.
For over 14 years, I've worked across broadcast, branded and digital production, creating films and content for organisations including the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Sky, Discovery, All3Media and Sony Pictures Television.
My work spans documentaries, factual entertainment, branded campaigns and social-first content from finding the right story and developing the creative approach through to production, filming, directing, editing and final delivery.
I'm particularly experienced in working with real people: finding authentic stories, building trust with contributors and turning complex or unfamiliar subjects into engaging, accessible narratives.
Alongside broadcast, I've worked on branded projects including an award-winning Bisto campaign with McCann London, as well as social-first content for brands including Planet Organic and Blakes London.
I bring a combination of editorial storytelling, hands-on filmmaking and end-to-end production experience, with a focus on creating content that feels authentic, engaging and relevant to its audience.
